Slippery Conditions Cause Two-Vehicle Crash in Elk River Tuesday Morning

Snowy and icy roads are said to have been a factor in an early morning traffic crash in Elk River Tuesday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the crash on southbound Highway 101 at Highway 10 in Elk River around 6:30 AM.

Authorities say a Ford Fusion and a Chevy Equinox SUV were both southbound when they collided just south of Highway 10.

The driver of the Ford sedan, 41-year-old Leelah Tokpah of Charlotte, North Carolina was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Maple Grove Hospital.

The driver of the SUV, 22-year-old Cadin Schlosser-Berry of East Jordan, Michigan, was not injured.
