Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday in Buffalo for a retired longtime pastor from the area.
Reverend Dr. Robert E. Mortvedt passed away December 21st at the age of 92.
Robert grew up in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, graduating from Dell Rapids High School in 1951, and later graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He also served as an officer and pilot in the U-S Navy from 1955 to 1959.
Rev. Mortvedt and his wife, Becky served 36 years in 5 parishes, as well as service as an interim pastor with eight congregations, seven in Nebraska and one in Minnesota.
Memorial Services for Rev. Dr. Robert Mortvedt are scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, with spring burial in Dell Rapids, South Dakota.
