The Minnesota Farm Bureau recently held its third annual Urban Ag conference.
Officials say the conference gives farmers who navigate a more urban setting the chance to get together and exchange ideas to address the challenges they face.
Communications Director Rachel Reisig says there were plenty of positives from the start of the opening event…
“It was a great time to spend the first hour of the conference really coming together with far in their communities to not only talk about what’s going on right now, but to look forward to the anticipation and excitement of that spring growing and what they’re looking forward to in their communities going forward.”
Reisig says farmers discussed a number of topics including land acquisition, soil health, and how to extend the life of their produce.
