A Wright County man was injured early Thursday morning when he was struck by a semi truck in Annandale.
The State Patrol reports that around 6 AM Thursday (3/5/26), a man identified as 45-year-old James Smith of Annandale was walking westbound on Highway 55 when he was struck by the westbound semi near Commercial Drive. Smith was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi, 52-year-old Frank Warden of Maple Lake, was not injured.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Annandale Fire and Police Departments, and Allina Health EMS assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
