Many Minnesota families are counting down the days until they head to warmer temps for a spring break vacation.
U of M Dr. James Miner says if you’re headed somewhere tropical, sunscreen is essential…
“Sunshine lotion, if you have a light complexion, is super important. To every house, you’re going to be sweating a lot. It’s going to wear off pretty quickly. So you want to keep putting more on. Much more effective is to wear a hat, especially a wide-brimmed hat, and keep covering up or stay in the shade as much as you can.”
Miner says to also make sure you’re staying plenty hydrated while on your trip.
