Big Lake Woman Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash Tuesday Morning Near Becker

One driver was injured when three vehicles collided early Tuesday morning near Becker in neighboring Sherburne County.

The State Patrol reports that shortly after 5:30 AM Tuesday, a Honda mini-van, a Ford pickup and a Volvo semi-tractor were involved in a chain reaction crash on Highway 10.

Authorities say the mini-van was accelerating from a stop light at Sherburne County Road 11. The semi-tractor reportedly struck the pickup from behind, which in turn struck the mini-van from behind.

Injured in the crash was the driver of the Ford pickup, 67-year-old Susan Rivers of Big Lake. Rivers sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Monticello Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the mini-van, 60-year-old Martin Peredo of Big Lake, and the driver of the semi-tractor, 63-year-old Eric Iverson of Cedar, Minnesota, were not injured.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, the Becker Police Department and CentraCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
