Officials with the City of Buffalo say construction of Phase 1 of the Northeast Area Reconstruction project will begin in the weeks ahead. Residents and interested persons are reminded that the city will host an open house on the project tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon and evening.
Planned improvements include re-construction of the street pavement, downtown parking lots, sidewalks, storm sewer and water main, sanitary sewer as well as the addition of Buffalo Fiber service.
The open house is planned for Tuesday, March 31st from 4 to 6 PM, with a presentation at 4:30 PM at the Buffalo City Center (212 Central Avenue). Project staff will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns. For those who can’t attend, meeting materials will be posted to the project website following the meeting.
Work on the Northeast Area Reconstruction is expected to begin in May.
