Memorial Services were held in recent days for a longtime Maple Lake resident and volunteer fireman. Robert “Bob” Polsfuss passed away April 1st at the age of 86 after a long battle with cancer.
Bob was a 13-year veteran of the U-S Air Force. He and his wife, Jennifer, were married while Bob was stationed in England. Following his service, Bob and Jenny raised their family in Maple Lake, while he worked in construction, and later as a delivery driver for Cenex and Lohse Transfer.
Bob was a 33-year veteran with the Maple Lake Fire Department, and was active with the Maple Lake American Legion and VFW.
Services for Robert Polsfuss were held April 16th in Maple Lake. He will be buried Tuesday at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the Twin Cities.
