National Correctional Officers and Employees Week is being observed this week in Wright County.

The Wright County Board of Commissioners recently passed a proclamation recognizing May 3rd through the 9th as a week to honor the men and women who do the vital, yet often unheralded job of overseeing inmates in jails and prisons across the country, and of course, here in Wright County as well.

The annual recognition was created in 1984 under President Ronald Reagan.
