The State Patrol in investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred near Brownton in neighboring McLeod County Wednesday morning.
According to reports, a 2013 Peterbilt straight truck driven by 21-year-old Tyler Whitney of Brownton was southbound on Highway 15. At the same time, a 2015 Ford Taurus driven by 78-year-old Shirley Meece of Hutchinson, was also southbound when the two vehicles collided.
Meece and her passenger, 46-year-old Kimberly Meece of Stewart, were taken to the Glencoe Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
All involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts, and no alcohol was involved in the 10:08 AM crash. The State Patrol was assisted by the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Brownton Fire and Allina EMS.
