One person was injured Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle traffic crash on I-94 near Monticello.
The State Patrol reports that the crash happened just after 2 PM when a Honda Accord passenger car was westbound on the freeway near Milepost 189. Officials say the car went out of control, left the roadway and rolled over.
A passenger in the car, 36-year-old Lashanika Jones of St. Cloud sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital. The driver of the vehicle, 47-year-old Ivan Chisholm of St. Cloud was not injured.
Authorities say alcohol is suspected in the crash, and that neither the driver, nor the passenger were using their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
