The period of weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day is the deadliest stretch of days of the year on Minnesota roads.
State Patrol Lieutenant Mike Lee says the majority of crashes are preventable…
“The frustrating part is that the deadly crashes we respond to are not accidents, and the way people sometimes think of them. They are the result of choices. Choices to drive too fast, choices to drive distracted, choices to drive impaired, and choices to not wear their seat belts.”
Lee says sadly, one bad decision could result in someone not making it home to their loved ones.
