East Ridge: Austin Griffith, and Brady Johnson have combined for an absurd 137 goals and 49 assists this season.

Austin Griffith, above, scored 69 goals this season for East Ridge.
Key Notes/Stats:
- The top five seeds have a combined record of 75-5 this season.
- Both Farmington and Stillwater have gone a combined, 62-2 the past two seasons, but do not have a state championship.
- The defending state champs from Edina after a slow start at 2-5 have been on a hot streak as of late but probably lack the offensive firepower to repeat.
- Blaine may be the Darkhorse, they have won six straight, while only allowing 4.5 goals per game.
- STMA is making its first state tournament appearance and comes in hot, winning six of seven with their only loss coming to the defending state champs from Edina.

After finishing up second last year, the Ponies, above on the left are back as the #2 seed.
Does STMA have a chance to win it all……
Honestly, probably not. Their maiden voyage to state could be a quick one. The top five teams are just too dominant, and they get the best of the best right away in Farmington. If the Knights stand a chance, they have to be physical on defense which is their strength, Mclellan is a really good goalie, so both those areas give them a chance, but I just don’t see the Knights scoring enough to keep up with Farmington or any of the top five teams.

STMA, above in white, ended the five-year reign of Moorhead in section 8, and advanced to state for the first time in school history.
