Two people were injured when an SUV collided with a passenger car Thursday afternoon in neighboring Sherburne County.
The State Patrol reports that around 5:15 PM, a Kia Sorento SUV was eastbound on Highway 10 when it collided with an Audi sports car that was entering Highway 10 from southbound County Road 16.
Officials say the driver of the SUV, Laurie Lopez, age 48 of St. Cloud, was not injured. However, two passengers in her vehicle, 77-year-old Mary Lombard, and 78-year-old Robert Lombard, both from Clear Lake, had non-life threatening injuries and were transported to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Audi vehicle, 41-year-old Bo Boelter of St. Cloud, was not injured.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted State Troopers.
