Ag groups are continuing their push for year-round sales of E15 throughout the country.
Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing, a resident and farmer from the Waverly area says with the previous go-ahead from the U-S House, he feels that year-round national sales of the ethanol blend could become a reality…
“Certainly there’s been good conversations surrounding that year-round E15, and the fact that the House has passed it also puts some pressure on those senators to also go ahead and get that done.”
Many retailers have seen an upturn in E15 sales in Minnesota since the jump in gas prices early this spring. The ethanol based bio-fuel has maintained an average 10 to 15 cent per gallon lower price at the pump since the fuel price spike began.
