A youngster suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle traffic crash early Friday morning on I-94 in the City of Monticello.
The State Patrol reports that around 5:45 AM, a Chevrolet pickup, a Ford pickup and a Dodge mini-van were all eastbound on I-94 when they collided because of a stalled vehicle blocking the right lane.
Officials say the only injury was to a 10-year-old male who was a passenger in the mini-van. The youngster from Big Lake was treated at CentraCare Hospital in Monticello. Authorities say that he was using a seat belt. The driver of the mini-van, a 53-year-old man from Big Lake, the driver of the Ford pickup, a 17-year-old male from Big Lake, and the driver of the Chevrolet pickup, a 23-year-old male from Burnsville, all escaped injury.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, CentraCare Ambulance and the Monticello Fire Department assisted at the scene.
