Memorial Services Held in Recent Days for Lifelong Monticello Resident, Businessman, Civic Leader, Robert “Bob” Weiman

Memorial Services were held in recent days for a well-known member of the Monticello community, and a lifelong resident, businessman and civic leader.

Robert “Bob” Weiman passed away May 29th at the age of 83.

Bob was born and raised in Monticello, and graduated from Monticello High School in 1962. He served in the U-S Air Force from 1965 through ’71 as a radar specialist. Bob and his wife, Beverly later lived and raised their family in Monticello.

Bob was a longtime insurance agent in Monticello, starting with MSI Insurance, and later worked with the Monticello Agency.

He was a former player and umpire for Monticello Town Baseball, and was an avid bowler. Bob loved hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Monticello Rod and Gun Club where he received an award for more than 50 years of being a Firearm Safety Instructor. He also was proud to have worked with the Capable Partners Hunting Program helping physically-challenged sportsmen to enjoy the outdoors.

He was a member of the Monticello American Legion for more than 55 years, and served on the Board of Directors, the Honor Guard and served as the Legion Chaplain.

Services for Robert Weiman were held June 26th in Monticello. Memorials are preferred to the Monticello American Legion Post #260, or the CentraCare Hospice in St. Cloud in Bob’s name.
