A Celebration of Life is planned for today in Maple Lake for a lifelong resident of our area, and a longtime volunteer.
Richard “Rick” Eccless passed away July 11th at the age of 76.
Rick grew up in Clearwater, and was a 1968 graduate of Annandale High School He settled in the Maple Lake area in 1975, and continued to make his home there throughout the rest of his life. He worked for more than 39 years for Cardinal Health in Champlin.
Rick was an avid outdoorsman, and was a lifelong member of the Silver Creek Sportsman’s Club, and served as a board member and past president. He also was a longtime participant and judge of demolition derbies at the Wright County Fair.
The Life Celebration for Rick Eccless will be held today (Friday) from 1 to 4 PM at the Maple Lake American Legion. Memorials are preferred to the Silver Creek Sportsman’s Club.
