Three vehicles were involved in a traffic crash Wednesday morning in a construction area on I-94 near Clearwater.
The State Patrol says the crash happened around 11:30 Wednesday morning when a Peterbuilt truck was stopped on westbound I-94 due to construction. A Subaru Outback was also westbound, and was stopped behind the semi-tractor. Meanwhile, a Hyundai SUV, also westbound on the freeway, rear-ended the Subaru, which then was pushed into the rear of the Peterbuilt truck.
The driver of the Subaru vehicle, 28-year-old Knut Kennedy of St. Cloud had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
The driver of the Hyundai SUV, 38-year-old Shawn Bibeau of Albertville, and the driver of the semi-tractor, a 44-year-old man from Austin, Minnesota, were un-injured.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, MnDOT, and Mayo EMS assisted at the crash scene.
