A funeral Mass is scheduled for today (Friday) in Annandale for a longtime area resident and civic volunteer.
Ronald “Ron” Hansen passed away July 21st at the age of 75.
Ron was raised on a dairy farm in New Richmond, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school in 1969, he continued his education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison on a wrestling scholarship.
He and his wife, Mary, raised their family in Annandale. Ron worked for more than 20 years as an independent route driver for Appert’s in St. Cloud. In his retirement, he was a bus driver for M&M Bus in Annandale from 2003 to 2017, and later drove for Central Community Transit in the Litchfield area until 2023.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was an active volunteer at his church, as well as with the Annandale Conservation Club, the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, the Darwin Lions Club and the Darwin Rod and Gun Club.
The family requests that Ron be remembered by taking a loved one hunting or fishing.
