Buffalo Resident Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Friday in Mille Lacs County

Two Buffalo residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened late Friday morning in Mille Lacs County.

The State Patrol reports that around 11:30 AM, a Chevy Traverse SUV was eastbound on Ojibwe Drive when it apparently ran a stop sign at Highway 169 and collided with a Mazda CX-50 SUV that was southbound on 169.

Authorities say a passenger in the Mazda, 60-year-old Beth Nelson of Buffalo sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was treated at the Mille Lacs Health Systems Hospital in Onamia. The driver of the Mazda, 65-year-old David Nelson, also of Buffalo, was not injured.

The driver of the Chevy SUV, 57-year-old Tammy Miller of Onamia, also escaped injury.

The Mille Lacs Tribal Police and the DNR assisted the State Patrol.
