The Wright County Planning and Zoning Department says it has been made aware that some individuals could be receiving fraudulent emails requesting payment related to a Planning Commission or Board of Adjustment public hearing.
Officials remind residents that Wright County Planning & Zoning does not request payment in an email without first speaking with a resident or property owner directly. The department also does not bypass the public hearing process or ask applicants to make unexpected payments before their scheduled hearing.
If you receive an email requesting payment and you are unsure whether it is legitimate, you’re advised to not click any links or submit a payment. Contact the Wright County Planning & Zoning Department directly using the phone number listed on our official website to verify the request.
