One Injured When Passenger Car and Ambulance Collide in Delano Saturday

One driver was injured when a passenger car collided with an ambulance Saturday afternoon in Delano.

The State Patrol reports that around 1:48 PM, a Chevrolet Sonic was eastbound on U-S Highway 12, while the Ford Transit ambulance was westbound. The vehicles collided at the intersection with County Road 139.

The driver of the Chevy sedan, 69-year-old Leann Stark of Loretto, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.

The driver of the ambulance, 25-year-old Jack Liska of Excelsior, was not injured.

The State Patrol report did not indicate whether or not the ambulance was on an emergency run at the time of the crash.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Delano Fire Department, and emergency teams from North Memorial and Ridgeview EMS assisted at the scene of the crash.
