Two Critically Injured in Van Rollover in Otsego

Two Twin Cities men were critically injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Otsego.

The State Patrol reports that just after 3 PM, a Ford Econoline van was southbound on Highway 101 when it ran off the roadway near County Road 36 and rolled over.

The driver of the van, 67-year-old Tong Vue, and a passenger, 64-year-old Shoua Xiong, both from Minneapolis, sustained life threatening injuries in the crash. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Officials say both men were using their seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, St. Michael Fire Department, and the Elk River and Allina Ambulance teams assisted at the scene.
