Kimball Motorcyclist Injured in Friday Afternoon Crash

A motorcyclist was injured in a Friday afternoon crash in Maine Prairie Township, just north of Kimball.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was southbound on Highway 15 turning onto 135th Street, while a Victory Cross Country motorcycle was traveling southbound on Highway 15.  The two vehicles collided at the intersection at around 3:30 PM.

The driver of the motorcycle, 44-year-old Andrew Guth of Kimball, received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.  Guth was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, 24-year-old Tristin Emholtz, and his passenger, 23-year-old Taylor Emholtz, both of Becker, were not injured in the crash; both were wearing their seat belts.

Assisting the MN State Patrol were Kimball Fire and Rescue, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, and Watkins Ambulance.
