One Injury in SUV vs. Mini-Van Crash in Clearwater

One driver was injured when an SUV collided with a mini-van in the City of Clearwater early Monday afternoon.

The State Patrol reports that shortly after 12 noon on Monday, a Ford Edge SUV was eastbound on Ash Street in Clearwater while a Chrysler Pacifica mini-van was southbound on State Highway 24. The two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The driver of the SUV, 19-year-old Kaylena McCalister of Crystal had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital. A passenger in the SUV, 21-year-old Denon Porter of Annandale, was not injured.

The driver of the mini-van, 64-year-old Carrie Hannasch of Rice, was not injured.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Clearwater Fire Department and EMS, and the Mayo Ambulance team assisted at the scene.
