Five people, including four children, were injured in a three-vehicle traffic crash Monday afternoon in Rockford Township.
The State Patrol says the crash happened around 4:30 PM Monday on northbound Highway 25 at 40th Street Southeast in Rockford Township, just south of Crawford Lake. Authorities say an SUV, a mini-van, and a passenger car were all northbound when the crash occurred.
Officials say the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 57-year-old Michelle Styve of Buffalo sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to Buffalo Hospital for treatment.
The driver of a Chrysler Town & Country mini-van, 32-year-old Jasper Clifton of Montrose escaped injury in the crash, but four youngsters in the van, ages 8, 5, 4 and 1, all from Montrose, all had non-life threatening injuries and were treated at Buffalo Hospital. The report indicates all of the children were in proper child restraints.
The driver of a Honda passenger car, 57-year-old Jennifer Hoffman of Maple Lake, was not injured.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Buffalo and Delano Fire Departments, and Allina Medical also responded to the crash scene for assistance.
