Showing the hard work of Minnesota farmers, and the value in the state’s farm products is the central theme of the Minnesota Farmers Union display at the Minnesota State Fair.
Farmers Union President Gary Wertish says the fair is a great way to reach a large segment of consumers with the message of what’s great about Minnesota’s farmers and ranchers…
“…really showcase out here the value of what farmers are doing in agriculture. So many people are generations removed from the farm now that they don’t really know or understand where their food comes from. We have family farmers out there providing the food, and we need to keep advocating for that. You know it’s always been a challenge on the farm, but right now with all the uncertainties coming, it’s even more challenging. We need to work through that and do the best we can.”
