Wright County residents are invited to participate in the 2026 Wright County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy.
The weekly sessions will run from 6:30 to 9 PM on Wednesday evenings from September 16th through October 14th.
The sessions offer a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at real police work. Participants will drive a squad and conduct a mock traffic stop, work through realistic police scenarios, explore crime scene investigations, and will learn about how deputies make split-second decisions in the field.
Academy attendees will also meet and interact with the deputies serving Wright County communities. The academy is free to Wright County Residents ages 18 and over, but spots are limited. Applications are due by September 9th.
