Four vehicles were involved in a Saturday afternoon crash in Big Lake.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Subaru Impreza was traveling eastbound on US Highway 10, making a turn onto County Road 43, while a Chevy Silverado was westbound on Highway 10. A Kia Telluride and a Ford Escape were both stopped on County Road 43 facing south, when the vehicles collided in the intersection of the westbound lanes.
Injured in the crash was the driver of the Silverado, 70-year-old David Scapanski and his passenger, 68-year-old Kathleen Scapanski, both of Sauk Rapids. They both received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. The driver of the Subaru and a passenger were not identified in the State Patrol report, and their injuries, if any, were not available.
The driver of the Ford Escape, 20-year-old Krebs Robert of Big Lake, and the driver of the Kia Telluride, 41-year-old Baker Lacey of Big Lake, were not injured.
Roads were listed as dry at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor. Assisting the Minnesota State Patrol was Big Lake Fire, Big Lake Police Department, Centra Care Ambulance, and the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
