A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday in Kimball for a lifelong area resident and businessman.
John “Mic” Petty passed away September 4th at the age of 82.
Mic grew up in Kimball and graduated with the Kimball High School Class of 1962. He began his career at Knaus Sausage House in Kimball, and in 1980, co-founded Petty Brothers Meats along with his brother, Jim.
Mic was well-known in the Annandale community through his retirement in 2006, and his nephews continue to operate the family business.
Mic and his wife, Rosann raised their family in Kimball, where Mic was active in the community as a member of the Kimball Rod and Gun Club, and a was a past board member of the Kimball Golf Club.
The funeral Mass for John “Mic” Petty will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball.
