Now that the Senate Agriculture Committee has passed a Farm Bill, the question becomes whether or not it can get through the entire Senate before the current bill runs out.
Wright County farmer and Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing says while a farm bill can’t help with markets, it does offer support…
“It is there as a support mechanism for a domestic food supply which is security. Food security is national security. If we end up relying on a foreign country for our food supply, that’s not a good place to be.”

Glessing and members from the Farm Bureau also met with Minnesota’s Congressional delegation, and says those talks went well.
