MnDOT is reminding motorists they may be sharing the road with various types of farm equipment during the fall harvest season.
Spokeswoman Anne Meyer says motorists need to be patient as farm equipment often travels more slowly, and takes up more of the road…
“If you do encounter any form of equipment on the road, we want you to slow down. We want you to only pass when it’s safe to do so and really keep an eye out for debris as well. On the roadway, just from things blowing around and coming off of farm equipment trucks.”
Meyer says farm equipment operators should be using lights as required, use slow-moving vehicle emblems, and check the weight of vehicles.
