Area Man and Passenger Involved in Crash Near Bemidji

A Wright County area man and a passenger were involved in a single-vehicle traffic crash Thursday morning near Bemidji.

The State Patrol reports that around 10:30 AM Thursday, a Nissan Pathfinder SUV was southbound on Highway 71 in Guthrie Township in Hubbard County when the vehicle veered off the road and came to rest in the right-side ditch.

The driver of the SUV, 85-year-old Thomas Lenz of South Haven, and a passenger, 82-year-old Ann Schultz of Sleepy Eye both were transported to the Stanford Medical Center in Bemidji for a precautionary examination, though the State Patrol says neither were seriously injured.

The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bemidji Ambulance assisted State Troopers.
