A Wright County man who died in a motorcycle accident in Kentucky last week was welcomed home to Buffalo on Monday evening with a special motorcade.
21-year-old Specialist E4 Hunter Sandberg died when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle during the evening hours on September 28th in Oak Grove, Kentucky.
Sandberg was serving with the U-S Army, and was stationed at nearby Fort Campbell.
Monday evening, representatives with the U-S Army Recruiters in Buffalo, members of the Buffalo American Legion, the Buffalo Police and Fire Departments, along with friends, and the general public lined a portion of Highway 55 in Buffalo, honoring the motorcade of vehicles as it made its way to the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Services have now been set for SPC Hunter Sandberg. A private ceremony will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. A Memorial Service is planned for 11 AM on Wednesday, October 14th at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Forest Lake.
