The State Patrol reports that just before 12 noon, a Kia Sportage SUV was westbound on I-94 in Monticello Township. The vehicle was said to have been traveling in the left lane when it struck a parked MnDOT truck that was in place as a part of a lane closure detail.

The driver of the SUV, 20-year-old Idil Farah of St. Cloud, and a passenger, 20-year-old Rahma Yussuf of Waite Park, both sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

The driver of the MnDOT truck, 45-year-old Randy Scarborough of St. Cloud, was not injured.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Monticello Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
