The Howard Lake Police Department is advising the public that they have received reports in recent days of two males claiming to be with Xcel Energy going door to door talking to residents about solar energy discounts.
Officials with Xcel say they do not send people door to door. Authorities say that the City of Howard Lake also requires a peddler’s license for any type of solicitation.
Anyone who sees this pair of people or if anyone similar comes to your door is asked to contact the Howard Lake PD, or the Howard Lake City Hall.
