Minnesota officials are asking residents to help connect friends and neighbors with energy assistance.
Energy Assistance Program director Michael Schmitz says the program helps eligible households pay energy costs and stay safe through the winter…
“If you or someone is struggling to pay your energy bills, we encourage you to apply. So, it might be your family that’s struggling, but also it might be your neighbor, it might be a relative or a friend. And this program is here to help.”
Schmitz says applications are now being accepted through local service providers across the state.
