Wright County Elections has announced that absentee voting for a special primary on Tuesday, August 26th is now open in Wright County.
The special primary is for Minnesota Senate District 29 which became necessary following the death of Senator Bruce Anderson.
Absentee ballots will be mailed to voters that request them at; www.MNVotes.gov. Applications may also be mailed to the Wright County Government Center. If you are on the permanent absentee list, a ballot will be mailed to you as well.
Wright County Elections is encouraging voters to return their ballots in-person to the Government Center at the Taxpayer Services counter. The Taxpayer Services counter will be open to in-person absentee voters for early voting during regular business hours weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The Government Center will also be open this Saturday, August 23rd from 9 AM to 3 PM for extended voting hours. City residents of Delano and Monticello may visit their city halls for early voting.
The final day for absentee voting will be Monday, August 25th. Election day voting on Tuesday, August 26th, the polls will be open from 7 AM until 8 PM.
A Public Accuracy Test of voting systems is scheduled for today (Monday) at 9 AM at the Wright County Government Center.
