A Wright County man was injured Friday afternoon when the car he was driving struck a tree in South Haven.
The State Patrol reports that around 2:50 PM Friday, a Subaru Forester was westbound on Highway 55 when it went out of control near Fairhaven Avenue, leaving the roadway, and striking a tree.
The driver of the car, 86-year-old Ronald Simpson of Annandale sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Buffalo Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the man was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not involved.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, South Haven Fire Department, and Allina Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
