The community of Monticello has been rolling out the red carpet to residents and visitors throughout the weekend for Riverfest 2025, and today (Sunday), the celebration concludes with the biggest day of all.
Sunday activities include the community Worship & Serve at the Monticello High School. The annual Riverfest parade begins at a new time, 11 AM, and will run along West 3rd Street, Walnut Street, and West 6th Street.
From 11 AM to 4 PM, it’s Sunday Funday at Ellison Park. The annual Riverfest Duck Race will begin at 2:30, with a $2500 prize for 1st place, $1000 for second through 6th place, $100 for 7th through 29th place, and $100 for the last duck to cross the finish line!
The Monticello Royal Ambassador coronation will be held at 2:45 PM at Ellison Park, followed by the presentation of the Monticello Citizen of the Year Award at 3:30 PM.
