A woman from our region was injured early Thursday morning when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a large pickup truck.
The State Patrol reports that around 7 AM Thursday, a CF MOTO sport motorcycle, and a Ford F550 truck were both eastbound on Sherburne County Road 14 in Big Lake Township when they collided.
The driver of the motorcycle, 33-year-old Samantha Porter of Elk River sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash, and was treated at the CentraCare Hospital in Big Lake. Officials say Porter was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Ford truck, 37-year-old Jonathan Volkers of Foley, and a passenger in the truck, a 56-year-old man from Elk River, both escaped injury.
The Big Lake Police and Fire Departments assisted State Troopers.
