A three-vehicle traffic crash Tuesday afternoon in Rogers resulted in serious injuries to a local woman.
The State Patrol reports that the crash happened just before 4 PM Tuesday on Interstate 94 near the exit for Highway 101.
Officials say a Kia Sportage SUV was westbound on the freeway, and traffic was backed up approaching Highway 101. The driver swerved to the left to avoid the backup and collided with a Dodge Ram pickup and a Toyota Sienna mini-van. After impacting the other two vehicles, the Kia SUV came to rest on the guardrail.
The driver of the SUV, 33-year-old Krista Voerding of Big Lake, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
The driver of the pickup truck, 44-year-old Erik Gutierrez of Buffalo, and the driver of the mini-van, 38-year-old Matthew Pavlik of Otsego, were not injured. A passenger in the pickup, 44-year-old Arnulfo Artero of Albertville, also escaped injury.
The Rogers Police and Fire Departments, and North Memorial EMS assisted at the scene of the crash.
