The Buffalo Historical Society invites the public to an Ice Cream Social this Saturday, June 29th to honor, and celebrate the life of longtime community volunteer and historian Jack McAllister.
Jack was a past board member of the Buffalo Historical Society, and was a member of the Wright County Historical Society.
He was also an active member of the Buffalo Writers Group and the Golden Aires singing group. McAllister is also credited with being instrumental in starting a recycling program in the city.
The Ice Cream Social will be held Saturday, June 29th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Buffalo Community Center at 206 Central Avenue. Donations are being accepted for a bench to honor Jack’s memory and contributions to the community.
