Candidate Forum Tonight (Thursday) in Delano to Feature GOP Candidates for Senate District 29 Primary

The three Republican candidates who will be on the August 26th primary election ballot for Minnesota Senate District 29 will take part in a forum tonight (Thursday) in Delano.

The District 29 senate seat became open with the unexpected death of longtime State Senator Bruce Anderson of Buffalo in mid-July.

The three GOP candidates are Michael Holmstrom, Jr. and Bradley Kurtz, both of Buffalo, and Rachel Davis of Waverly. The forum is expected to allow time for all three candidates to explain their positions on issues, as well as time to answer questions from the public. The winner of the August 26th primary will earn a place on the special election ballot on November 4th.

You may remember that Louis McNutt was the only DFL candidate to file for the Senate District 29 special election. Unless there is a significant write-in vote, he will advance unchallenged in the primary to the November general election.

Tonight’s GOP candidate forum is set for 6:30 PM at the Delano City Hall, and is being presented by the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Delano. The public is encouraged to attend.
