Celebration of Life Saturday for Kevin Yonak, Former Area Businessman and Monticello Township Board Member

A Monticello area man will be remembered at a Celebration of Life on Saturday. Kevin Yonak passed away September 25th at the age of 67.

Kevin was born and raised in the Monticello area, graduating from Monticello High School in 1976.

He worked for several years for Yonak Sanitation, and was co-owner of the FCR Landfill. After the landfill was sold, he founded and operated a roll-off demolition container business, DDS Roll-Offs. He also was a driver for Kolles Sand and Gravel, and was a plow driver and road maintenance worker for Monticello Township.

Kevin had a strong belief in grassroots government, and served for four years on the Monticello Township Board. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, the American Truck Historical Society, the Minnesota Street Rod Association, and the International Harvester Collectors Club.

A Celebration of Life for Kevin Yonak is planned for Saturday, November 1st from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Monticello VFW.
