The City of Big Lake has announced that it has been awarded 2 million dollars in federal funding to support the city’s Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Project.

Officials say the investment will help to strengthen critical infrastructure, support future growth, and ensure reliable wastewater services for the community for years to come.

In a statement from the city, officials say while the federal funds represent a relatively small portion of the overall cost, the city is grateful for the help and will continue to seek additional support as the project moves forward.

The public is reminded that the Wastewater Treatment Facility Project will be discussed at the next Big Lake City Council Workshop set for 5 PM on February 18th at the Big Lake City Hall.
