Cokato Man Injured in Motorcycle vs. Deer Crash Early Tuesday Morning

A Wright County man was injured early Tuesday morning when the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer in Middleville Township.

The State Patrol reports around 5:30 AM Tuesday, the Yamaha cycle was eastbound on Highway 12 when it hit the deer near Keats Avenue Southwest.

The motorcycle rider, 48-year-old Patrick Rutledge of Cokato sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Buffalo Hospital for treatment. Authorities say he was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.

The Cokato and Howard Lake Fire Departments were among the agencies assisting the State Patrol at the scene.
