Community Festivals and Events Throughout the Region This Weekend

Nearly every corner of our region is busy with community festivals and other stand-alone events this weekend. Below is a summary of activities happening today (Saturday):

Kimball

Kimball Days continues in Kimball with a 5K walk-run, a softball tournament, Grande Day Parade, craft and vendor fair, great concessions, and KidZone activities at the St. Anne’s Church outdoor area. Evening activities include grilled pork chops from the Kimball Legion and the hamburger stand supporting the Kimball Chamber of Commerce. Then enjoy a street dance from 8 to midnight with music from “Crimson Edge.”

St. Michael

St. Michael’s 2025 St. Michael Daze & Knights continues with the Color Daze Run, chalk walk, business expo and farmers market. Other events include a car show, pedal tractor pull, sawdust pile treasure hunt, bean bag tournament, the Daze & Knights parade, fire department games, Sheriff’s Department K-9 meet and greet, bingo, the KRWC Road Show, Irish dance performance, royalty coronation, a petting zoo, fireworks at dusk, and from 9 to midnight, music from “Mason Dixon Line” on the main stage with a 10 dollar cover.

Rockford

Rockford celebrates River Days 2025 this weekend. Saturday highlights include a pancake breakfast, sports tournaments, the River Days Marketplace, a new car show, inflatables, corn hole tournament, and The Spot dog show. Later activities include bingo, the duck drop at 3:15, the Lions pork chop dinner, free admission to music and dancing with “Hitchville” under the big tent. Fireworks are planned for around 10 PM, and the beer garden and food booths will be open throughout the day. River Days concludes Sunday in Rockford.

Other Saturday Events

The Mooseburger Clown Camp will host their annual All Star Clown Show beginning at 6:30 PM at the Maple Lake High School gym. Admission is free. Doors will open at 6 PM for a meet and greet with the clowns, facepainting and a dance party! Those attending are encouraged to bring a school supply item for the supplies collection that will benefit Wright County schools.

The Buffalo FFA and FFA Alumni welcomes visitors to the “Sunflower Experience” at the Buffalo High School campus. Visitors can walk through 3 acres of sunflowers for fun and photo-ops from 3 to 7 PM. A 5 dollar per person donation is suggested to support FFA scholarships and events.
