Work continues on the second major bridge replacement project in Wright County this summer.

Crews continue the replacement of the County Road 8 bridge over the Crow River in Marysville Township.

Work began around the second week of July. Spokesman Bryce Barrick of Structural Specialties said work over the past few weeks included setting pilings followed by preliminary structural work…

…building the abutments and trying to put rip-wrap in next.”

Barrick says despite numerous rain days, thankfully the level of the Crow River has not caused too much difficulty during early construction…

…manageable this whole time we’ve been doing the job, so.”

Motorists are reminded that a detour is posted using Wright County Highways 35, 7, 9, and 107. The project is expected to be completed by late fall 2025.
